Dr. Scott Toussaint has been helping people be successful in business for nearly four decades. Starting with Toussaint and Company, a temporary- and direct-placement staffing firm, Scott has provided career consulting, executive coaching, curriculum and business development. Over the course of his career, Scott and his company have helped more than 60,000 people in the midst of career transitions—including assisting more than 15,000 people in securing jobs. He also has served as president of the Indiana Association of Personnel Services and on the board of Business and Professional Exchange.

Today, he continues to help people in the midst of career transitions through Chaplains at Work. Feeling the call to more full-time ministry, Scott, an ordained minister, founded Chaplains at Work in 2002 to serve people struggling with the stresses of unemployment and/or workplace issues. Throughout the years, his Employee Care Programs for workplace environments and public Bible studies for business communities have provided guidance to many in the midst of career transitions or difficulties.

Scott, who holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, three master’s degrees, a Doctor of Theology, a Doctor of Ministry, and a Ph.D. in Communications and Leadership, also consults with entrepreneurial companies and large organizations, helping improve their performance through enhanced team dynamics and communications skills.

Scott and Janet, his wife of 39 years, have three grown children and six grandchildren. They reside in Carmel and attend Grace Community Church.

David Toussaint leads the financial stewardship services for Chaplains at Work. Prior to joining the organization, David served as an area director with Crown Financial Ministries, where he taught, trained and coached thousands of individuals who were in debt, burdened by financial pressures or simply desiring to align their spending with God’s counsel on money. As David says, “There are more than 2,000 references to money in the Bible. God has something to say about it.”

Well before his career as a financial counselor, David wanted to be a faithful manager of all God’s blessings. He attended financial education classes at his church in 1983, and soon began providing financial support to the ministry and encouraging others to attend. Sound principles of financial stewardship guide him in both his personal and professional life.

David, who holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry, began his career as a high school chemistry teacher. Since then, he has had many different careers: pharmaceutical sales representative, broker, commercial realtor (CCIM) and builder, property manager and owner, and 14 years as an area director with Crown Financial Ministries. Today, he continues to serve the Kingdom of God through Chaplains at Work.

David sees this calling as much more than financial teaching. Rather, it’s the building or rebuilding of lives, marriages, jobs and more as individuals find the peace and confidence that comes with managing money God’s way. Over the years, David learned that even though God chooses to be invisible, He wants us to experience His reality. God does that best when both our hearts and finances are in line with His Word.

When he’s not serving others through Chaplains at Work, David enjoys spending time with his wife of 20 years, Sheila, and their adopted Ukrainian sons, Ross and Billy. David is an Eagle Scout, veteran of the U.S. Army, past president of Rotary, and a 40-year member of East 91st Street Christian Church, where he helps lead the Financial Education Ministry.
